Do I have to make an account?

No — you can start using Multiverse Explorer right away, anonymously, with no sign-up screen and nothing to type. Your realms, characters, and credits are all tied to that anonymous session from the moment you take your first selfie.

Linking a supported account is optional, and worth doing once you've got a collection you'd hate to lose:

Why link an account

Your realms and characters are backed up and restored automatically when you use the same supported sign-in on a new phone — an anonymous-only collection can't be recovered if you lose the device or clear the app's data.

A starter grant

Linking for the first time comes with a one-time credit grant, enough to unlock a first character if you haven't already.

You can link a supported account from Settings at any time — there's no deadline, and doing it later doesn't cost you anything you've already unlocked.
